What Is Among Us Shimeji?
A Shimeji (しめじ) is a tiny desktop mascot that lives on the edge of your screen. The idea started as a Japanese desktop-pet program and Shimeji Buddy brings it to the browser. Among Us Shimeji is our games buddy inspired by Among Us. It uses a hand-drawn sprite sheet with walking, climbing, falling, sitting and special animations, so it looks like a real little animation rather than a static sticker.

How To Use Among Us Shimeji
- Install Shimeji Buddy. Open the Chrome Web Store listing, click Add to Chrome and confirm. It takes a few seconds and no account is needed.
- Open the buddy panel. Click the Shimeji Buddy icon next to your address bar. Pin it from the puzzle-piece menu if you do not see it.
- Turn on Among Us. Find Among Us in the Games tab and flip the toggle. The character drops onto the page right away.
- Play with it. Click Among Us for its special animation, drag it anywhere on the screen and drop it to let it walk off again. Add more buddies for a crowd.
- Pause or remove. Use the same toggle to pause, or the trash icon to remove it. Buddies stay off on sites you mark as ‘focus’ sites.

About Among Us
Among Us is the social deduction hit from Innersloth where crewmates complete tasks aboard a spaceship while impostors try to sabotage the mission. Its little bean-shaped astronauts in bright colours became one of the most recognisable game icons of the decade. Among Us Shimeji recreates the red, blue, green, yellow and pink crewmates as animated buddies. They waddle along the bottom of the page, climb the browser edges and occasionally pop out of a vent, so there is always a sus little character somewhere on your screen.

Yes. The set includes regular crewmates and an impostor animation, so one buddy may sneak up on the others.
Can I run more than one crewmate at a time?
Yes. Open the Shimeji Buddy panel and add as many crewmates as you like, each in a different colour.
